Islamabad Karachi Company Police arrested two members of a gang involved in robbery cases and recovered the cash, motorbike, and weapons from their possession a police spokesman said.
Following the directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed assigned the task to all Zonals SPs to accelerate efforts against the heinous crime.
SP (Saddar-Zone ) Muhammad Umer Khan constituted a special team under the supervision of SHO Karachi company police station including Sub-Inspector Shabbir Ahmed along with other police officials.
The team worked hard and succeeded to arrest two members of the gang involved in cases of dacoities. They had been identified as Sher Ali Khan s/o Noor Ali Khan resident of Waleed colony, Peshawar and Walit Shah s/o Zubair Shah resident of District Mardan, cash, motorbike and weapons recovered from their possession.
During preliminary investigation, they confessed to committing dacoities along with their accomplices.
Further investigation was underway from them and special police teams had been constituted to ensure the arrest of their other accomplices.
DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud Din Syed had appreciated the performance of the Karachi company police team and further directed all officers to accelerate efforts to curb the crime.
He categorically asked all officials to remain high alert during duty hours and keep a vigilant eye on suspected persons.
He further said that the safety of life and property of citizens was the prime responsibility of the police.
